If you ever want to speak French one day,

you must avoid these 3 mistakes most people do

1)   Wasting time learning (and forgetting) vocabulary

Most people spend hours and hours trying to learn words they’ll never use. It’s a shame because focusing on useful vocabulary is one of the best ways to quickly speak and understand French.

And the worst part is that as soon as they have to use this vocabulary in a real conversation, it doesn’t come out any more because they forgot everything. They eventually get frustrated and give up after a while.

However, according to a study from Brigham Young University, the 1000 most common words in French account for 85 percent of French conversations. Of course it's not enough to make anyone a fluent speaker, but it gives you a solid foundation to let you hit the ground running when you talk with native speakers.

2)   Racking your brain over complicated grammar

Obviously you need to understand French grammar if you want to speak French. But you don’t need to memorize the thousand exceptions of each grammar rule to become fluent.  Unfortunately most French courses try to teach you so much at once that you end up overwhelmed and frustrated by your inability to speak and understand French.

You don't need to learn how to conjugate all the possible French verbs by heart, but you can just learn a few conjugation patterns that apply to the vast majority of verbs. You don’t need to worry about making all the possible liaisons in a conversation, but just focus on the required ones that everybody do, and you can forget about the optional ones.

If you focus on the most important things, you will improve really quickly because you won't waste your time with insignificant rules that are rarely used. Most importantly, you will taste the joy of being able to understand and speak with natives.

3)   Lacking self-confidence

Too many people refuse or give up to learn French because they are ashamed of speaking the language. They are afraid of being judged because of their accent or because they don't understand what a native say to them... This might be the biggest and the silliest mistake.

You who want to learn French, remember that you’re mother tongue is English. You don’t have to become an interpreter translator with a perfect pronunciation. You are just a normal person, so you have the right to make mistakes, and you will go through it because it's unavoidable. Therefore, it’s totally forgivable.

You want to use this language as a tool or as a passion in your life, so you don’t need to have a perfect level. You may feel ridiculous in the beginning, but in fact you are not, because you are doing something that others don’t even dare to do.

Hi everyone! My name is Simon, I live in Paris and as you can guess, I speak French.

I never lived in an English speaking country, and my parents always spoke French with me. So you might wonder: why did I learn English?

Not because it was mandatory at school. In fact, it's very simple: because it’s fun! It opens up a whole new world of fascinating cultures and people. And that’s what I'm passionate about in life!

But today, you guys are lucky!                                                Because I'm here to share with you the greatness of knowing how to speak another language : French, my mother tongue.

It's a beautiful language, but the thing is, there’s a real big difference between spoken French and written French. That’s why most foreigners cannot understand French native conversations: because they learn to speak French by studying written French!

So my objective is to help you guys REALLY SPEAK FRENCH just like French people speak NOWADAYS. Through regularity and motivation, you guys can acquire good basics in just a few months and even become fluent in less than a year!

See what make the Blog French Course

so unique and efficient

  • Focus on Everyday Life Conversations First

There’s a big difference between spoken French and written French (more so than any other language). The way French is taught at school is world apart with how French people truly speak.

That’s why most foreigners cannot understand French native conversations: because they learn to speak French by studying written French!

The realistic conversations of the BlogFrench course will help you gain the confidence you need to speak French with locals.

  • Recorded at Slow and Normal Speed

The dialogues are recorded professionally by myself at two different speeds.

This allow you to focus precisely on the sounds in French, and you will also see the differences in the pronunciation when a French native actually speak normally.

Even though my voice is beautiful, I know you might get tired of it at some point… That’s why I recommend that you try to listen to French in any other way (I suggest a few songs in the course).

  • Simplified Phonetic Transcription Integrated

One of the difficulties for foreigners to learn French is to associate many different combinations of letters to a sound. It seems like you’re not pronouncing what you’re reading.

But in fact, you only find around 15 vowel sounds in French. The difficulty is to recognize them.

That’s why I created a simplified phonetic transcription in which each letter is pronounced to help you at the beginning. It will gradually disappear as you get better.

  • Full Transcripts and Translations

Each conversation comes with a full transcript and translation so you know exactly how to use each word and sentence you learn.

This includes literal translations to help you quickly understand how the French language works, and you will discover very common oral expressions that you’ll never learn at school or in a book.

Each lesson includes clear explanations to help you sound more French than ever.

  • Revision Lessons

Throughout the course, you regularly have recap lessons that deepen the grammar and conjugation points encountered.

It’s the idea of this course: quick sessions every day, enriched with a more consistent one from time to time to thorougly get things straight.

Be careful, don’t consider something you’ve seen only once acquired. I suggest that you review these grammar or conjugation points in small doses throughout the course.

  • A Guarantee of Success, If You Try...

Because yes, you are responsible for your success. I put everything at your disposal to do it, but you are responsible for your success.

If you want to learn a language quickly, you have to study every day regularly. Whenever you have some spare time, try to spend half an hour to this course.

I guarantee if you try seriously, you will succeed. If it does not work for you, I will refund you immediately and in full.

Is it possible to learn French fluently

in less than a year ?

Ok look, I know 99% of people will tell you that's not possible.

Let me tell you something: this part has nothing to do with intelligence, or talent, or being good at memorizing stuff, or whatever.

It's about mindset and motivation.

Learning a language is not only something that will bring you fun.

No, the best part of learning a language is that it builds your character.

You can study this course as many times as you want during your whole life, but if you don't go out there, step out of your comfort zone, and force yourself to speak French, you'll never be fluent in French.

Before going further, I'd like to share some of my favorite motivational quotes with you:

  • "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”

– Walt Disney

  • "If you are working on something that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.”

– Steve Jobs

  • "The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.”

– Winston Churchill

  • "I think goals should never be easy, they should force you to work, even if they are uncomfortable at the time.”

– Michael Phelps

So what do you have to do?

The Blog French Course is composed of 120 lessons.

If you can study one every day, that's a 4 months period of learning. Each lesson should take around 30 minutes.

You think you can do that?  I strongly encourage you to set this objective.

Don't forget to use the recordings, they will be your best friends.

My personal experience

During my last year of highschool, I started to learn Portuguese by myself, because I've always wanted to communicate with my Brazilian family with whom I had never talk to for more than 18 years.

Every day after school, I started to study alone in my room. Even though I was tired, I had homework to do... I always found some time to study a bit, even if it was for just 10 minutes.

After a few months, I could acquire the basics of the language, and after my final exams, I decided to spend one month in Brazil. It was my first time there as an adult, and my family were like total strangers to me.

By forcing myself to talk only in Portuguese, I improved so fast. At the end of the month, I was basically fluent in Portuguese. The whole process took me around 10 months.

If I did it, I'm sure you can do it as well.

When you finish the Blog French Course, I can assure you will have everything you need to be fluent in French. But I cannot force you to speak French (unfortunately).

Now I know you'll say "What can I do if don't have anybody to speak French with?".

In fact, this question has never been more wrong than today.

Nowadays, there are so many ways to find conversation partners. Wether on websites, mobile apps, cultural events...

The real question is, are you motivated enough to meet new people, make new friends, step out of your comfort zone?

I know it's not always easy at the beginning, and that's why I want to support you. I try to write many articles every week about motivation in this blog to help you keep on going. In addition, if you buy the course, you get direct access to me by email, and I'll be happy to help you when you need.

90 Day Money Back Guarantee

I have worked several months on this course, and now I have full confidence in its quality to help you become fluent in French. But you only believe what you can see and you are right. This guarantee allows you to freely test the course without taking any risk. If it doesn't improve your French within 90 days, you will be refunded 100%.

So if you believe there is even a "slight chance" the Blog French Course can work for you, you should give it a try. If it works, you'll eventually speak and understand French. If it doesn't, just send me an email within 90 days of your purchase to get your refund. It's that simple.

The only condition to be eligible for reimbursement is to really try your best with this course. You should know that this course is for people who are determined to learn French, and who know that it's impossible to become fluent in the blink of an eye. Remember, the key is regularity: it will take some time, but when the results come, you will have no regrets.

This is a great way to learn French. I actually had the opportunity to speak with a French native as a conversation partner after using this course. She was very surprised when I told her I started to learn just a few months ago. At school I was struggling with French classes, but this course made me enjoy learning French. Each lesson with all its side notes is just enough to study everyday, and the revision lessons were very clear and helped a lot to review the points I didn't understand well. Of course I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn French.

The Blog French Course was the perfect course for me because the lessons were really quick to do everyday.  I don't have so much time to study because of work, but every time I had a bit of spare time (in public transports, waiting for the bus...) I could use the course on my phone and easily complete or review a lesson. I could assimilate all the vocabulary and grammar points very naturally because the phrases were very realistic and easy to understand. By the way, thanks for the music suggestions at the end of the revision lessons, they made me love French even more!

Can this course be useful to me if I already know some French?

Answer +

This course was created for beginners. I did separate it in two parts, so if you really think your level is already good, then you might not need the 1st part and start directly at the intermediate level. However, I recommend for everyone to start from the beginner level because the 2nd level is built on the previous one. So if you don’t know about some grammar rules, vocabulary, oral expressions… that are explained in the 1st part, you might have some difficulties to follow the 2nd part.

Besides, maybe you’ve been learning French for a while but you feel like you’re not making much progress and you’d like to give a new impetus to your learning process. Then the Blog French Course is still a great choice because I guarantee you will find different ways of speaking you’ve never seen in any book before.

Can I ask you any question?

Answer +

Whenever you need help for a specific French language problem, I’m always on hand by email to help guide you (and I’m happy to do it!). I can give you some tips on how to best use the course in your case. I’ll do my best to answer as fast as possible.

Why can't I simply use a free course or textbook from the library?

Answer +

You could do it if you want, but the problem with most free courses is that they don’t teach you real spoken French. They are the basic traditional courses that teach you the written French that pretty much hasn’t changed for the last 2 centuries. They will just make you sound like a book, and you won’t be able to understand nowadays native conversations.

The Blog French Course is well-structured, it focuses on the most important aspects you need to know about French, and it is very complete. My promise is that you will never have to buy anything else than this course to become fluent in French once you finish it. You will just have to keep on practicing regularly, whether by listening to French or speaking French whenever you have the opportunity.
